Biography

Lee was born in Hartlepool in the North-East of England. Lee trained as an actor on the three year B.A. Acting Course at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh. Graduating in 1999 with a BA Acting (with Distinction). At Queen Margaret College Lee played a wide variety of roles including Simon in Noel Cowards HAYFEVER, Tom in TEA AND SYMPATHY, Alan in PICNIC and Mr Jackson in LIVE LIKE PIGS. Other shows include MISS JULIE, THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, THE WIZARD OF OZ, LYSISTRATA, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU and TALES OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS. Lee then moved to London to study a Post-Graduate in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. Lee Studied with Mary Hammond, Karen Rabinowitz, Howard Milner and George Hall. At The Royal Academy of Music Lee played Hamish in THE THINGS YOU DO FOR LOVE, Billy in CALIFORNIA SUITE and Paul in Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY, which was directed by Matt Ryan with choreography by Craig Revel Horwood and Dane Preece as Musical Director. Lee also appeared in a number of Cabaret, Music Hall and Corporate Productions. Lee was awarded a Post-Graduate with Merit on graduation in summer 2000. Since Graduating Lee has worked in all areas of the Industry. Theatre Work Includes: Pete - EEJIT OF LOVE, Greenwich Theatre. King Charles II - BLUDE RED, Cutting Edge Theatre Co. Tom - LEASEHOLD, Pleasance Theatre. Charles Guiteau in Sondheim's ASSASSINS at the Man in the Moon Theatre. Henri - IN LOVE AND WAR, Greenwich and Wyllots Theatres. Man 2 - SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, Buttons - CINDERELLA. Lee toured the U.K. Playing an all singing, all dancing Polkaroo in BBC's Polkaroo goes POP! Lee performed as a soloist in the acclaimed Ivor Novello Centenary Celebration at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and has performed in workshops and recordings for several new musicals and plays including Return to Hamelin, Breaking News, His Excellency, The Passion, Anna, Again Please and Jack and Jill:The True Story. Lee has also appeared in several T.V. Commercials, most notably for Nationwide Mortgages, Carlsberg larger - Euro 2004 and can still be seen on screen in the wee small hours as a tin of peaches! TV and film include Tom in the October Tapes and Billy in How to Marry a Millionaire. Most Recent work includes, Buttons in Cinderella at the Royal Spa Centre - Leamington Spa and then again at The Middleton Civic Theatre, Manchester. Man 2 in Songs for a New World and Viktor in Anna: A New Musical. Lee is currently preparing a Cabaret of eclectic nonsense to be performed in London soon.
